Viola walteri 'Silver Gem'

Cultivar of native Perennial;  Developed by Mt Cuba Center, Silver Gem makes an excellent groundcover showcasing beautiful silvery-blue, heart-shaped foliage and small violet flowers. A single plant reaches about 3 –5″ tall and spreads as much as 10 –15″ wide. Blooms April–May. Prefers partial shade to shade, conditions found in woods and woods edge.  Pollinator friendly.
