Native shrub; wide suckering shrub 6–12 ft. coarse, palmate leaves; white bottlebrush panicles appears from June–July. Prefers partical shade and average, well‑drained soil. Nuts are not edible. Fall color is soft yellow. Tolerates moist soil.
