Join us for our first Learning From Great Gardens of the season!
Wilmington, DE
June 2nd 5:30p.m.-7:30p.m.
Join us for our next Learning From Great Gardens at the home of Don and Sally DeWees. Explore the wonders of this northern Delaware landscape, and enjoy lakeside views, meandering forest paths, wildflower meadows, and structured pocket gardens. The variety of garden styles will astound you, from koi ponds and rock gardens to structured vegetable gardens, there won’t be a shortage of experiences to learn from. Working from a blank canvas over 15 years, this garden oasis has been hand-crafted by Sally and Don. In addition to an array of native plants, this unique space plays host to several gems from the Rare Plant Auction® through the years, including a row of Pawpaw trees (Asimini triloba), a Japanese Umbrella Pine (Sciadopitys verticillata), a Purple Robe Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia), and a Black Iris (Iris chrysographes).
This elevated Learning from Great Gardens experience will include hand-selected, world-class wines from Don and Sally’s personal collection and catered hors d’oeuvres paired to match.
This Learning From Great Gardens is located in Wilmington, DE. Address, directions, and parking instructions will be sent upon successful registration.
