Join us for our last Art Loop event of 2025 with artist Beth Trepper. The mixed-media photography featured in NatureSpeak is inspired by Beth’s passion for both the Pre-Raphaelite (1848–1853) and Pictorialist Movements (1885–1915), wherein artists created images that were ethereal, soft-focused, and romantic. Nature was often used as the backdrop in paintings and the newly emerging art of photography. Quotes by celebrated writers, poets, philosophers, and songwriters are married with the photography. To further enhance her pieces, Beth uses handmade Nepalese paper and hand-pressed botanicals, along with her original calligraphy. The frames were individually hand-crafted by an artisan in Kansas, using 100% reclaimed wood.
Beth Trepper’s eclectic portfolio comprises fine art, fashion, portraiture, figurative, documentary, landscape, and entertainment images. Beth worked for more than twenty years in the music industry as a music photojournalist, publicity agent, and graphic designer. In more than 400 solo and group gallery exhibitions, she has shown her photographs extensively throughout the U.S., Europe, Ireland, and the Caribbean.
The Wilmington Art Loop is a vibrant arts and culture mainstay. Since its inception in 1988, the Art Loop has been essential to downtown expansion and Wilmington’s creative community. During the first Friday of each month, the free, self-guided public event brings together art lovers and the community to the ever-evolving downtown and greater Wilmington areas. Art galleries, studios, museums, and alternative art spaces offer an opportunity to meet featured artists while enjoying refreshments and periodic entertainment.
